HER GUIDING PRINCIPLES

HER Seat at the Table thrives on shared principles that foster respect, support, and empowerment. These values create a safe, welcoming space for female leaders to connect and lead together, evolving as our community grows.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

We are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community where every voice is valued and heard. We respect and celebrate the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of our members, recognizing that diversity strengthens our community and leads to more innovative solutions. By prioritizing inclusivity and equity, we ensure that all female leaders—regardless of race, ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status—have equal opportunities to contribute, thrive, and lead together.

Support and Empowerment:

  • Offer support and encouragement to fellow members.

  • Share knowledge, experiences, and resources to help each other grow.

Mentorship and Collaboration:

  • Actively engage in mentorship opportunities.

  • Collaborate on projects and initiatives that benefit the community.

  • Seek ways to amplify the voices and contributions of others.

Confidentiality and Trust:

  • Safeguard the privacy of all members by keeping shared information confidential.

  • Community discussions and insights should remain within the group unless explicit permission is given to share them elsewhere.

  • Create and maintain a trusted environment where everyone can speak openly and authentically.

Professionalism and Integrity:

  • Conduct yourself with integrity, honesty, and professionalism at all times.

  • Respect different perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions with curiosity and an open mind.

  • Maintain a high standard of excellence in online and in-person interactions.

Respect and Constructive Engagement:

  • Foster an environment of mutual respect and shared purpose.

  • Refrain from introducing personal or political agendas that may divide rather than unite.

  • Provide feedback that is constructive and aimed at helping others improve.

  • Be open to receiving feedback and using it for personal and professional growth.

Zero Tolerance for Gossip and Drama

  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for gossip and drama.

  • If the behaviour is reported as unsupportive, negative, or harmful to the community, we reserve the right to remove individuals from the group.

  • Uphold the integrity of our space by fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.

No Solicitation

  • Collaboration and mutual support are encouraged, but hard selling is not permitted.

  • Respectfully engage with others without pressuring members into transactions.

  • Prioritize meaningful connections over commercial intent.

Active Participation:

  • Engage actively in community events, discussions, and initiatives.

  • Contribute to the community’s growth and success through your involvement.

  • Make space for new voices and encourage diverse perspectives.

Paying It Forward:

  • Commit to mentoring and supporting the next generation of female leaders.

  • Share your successes and lessons learned to inspire and empower others.

  • Lead with generosity and intention, ensuring that the support you receive is also extended to others.

Commitment to Community:

By joining HER Seat at the Table, members agree to uphold these guiding principles and contribute to a positive, supportive, and empowering community. Together, we create a space where female leaders in the hospitality and events industry thrive and help each other reach new heights.
